Experience The Best Horseback Riding In The Smoky Mountains
If you have a love for animals and nature then a visit to Five Oaks Riding Stables is a must when visiting the Sevierville and Pigeon Forge area. This is the best horseback riding destination available in the Smoky Mountains. Grab your family and head out on an hour-long ride on a 3.5-mile trail featuring beautiful trees, streams, mountain views, and an authentic moonshine still. Our horses’ fun personalities and our amazing guides will keep you smiling throughout the whole tour!
This is a great experience for your whole family to enjoy together. Children 6 six of age and older can ride alone on their horse! Children 3-5 can still accompany you on your horseback expedition for just $24.99! There are a limited number of horses available that allow for a double rider, so try and book these as far in advance as possible!
Right of the Parkway in Sevierville is Adventure Park and Five Oaks Riding Stables sitting on a beautiful 70-acre surrounded by Smoky Mountain nature. From the start of your horseback riding tour, you will leave the city noise behind and be engulfed in the silence and beauty of the forest. Forest, streams, and even an old-time moonshine still are just some of what you’ll experience on your tour.
The amazing guides will make sure you have a safe and enjoyable ride. All the tour guides have many years of experience, so don’t worry if you are new to horseback riding. They’ll walk you through everything you need to know and help you along the way. Along with your comfort and safety, the health and quality of life of the horses is a top priority. These horses have fun personalities and get lots of play and relaxation time. Five Oaks provide the highest quality of care to the horses and ensure they are never overworked or under stress.
There are a few restrictions to horseback riding adventures. Kids must be at least 3 years of age to participate, 6 years of age to ride alone, and 17 and older to ride without an adult present. All participants must weigh under 270 pounds but during rainy/wet conditions the weight limit drops to 225 pounds and no double riders are permitted. Every rider must wear fully enclosed shoes, boots or sneakers typically work best.
We highly recommend making a reservation as there are only 12 spots per hour for horseback riding and these spots fill up quickly, especially in the Spring and Summer seasons. This is an experience you NEED to have on your Great Smoky Mountain vacation itinerary!
