Epic Pigeon River Adventures, Food Trucks, and Family Fun Await!

We are excited to invite you to join us at Big Creek Expeditions for an exhilarating rafting trip down the Pigeon River this Memorial Day weekend—Saturday, May 23rd, and Sunday, May 24th, 2026! Trips are available all day both days, so you can choose the perfect time to experience the thrill of adventure and the beauty of nature as you navigate the exciting waters.

Get ready for an adrenaline-pumping experience on our Upper Pigeon River trip! The Upper section is famous for its Class III rapids, offering heart-pounding whitewater action and stunning mountain scenery. Perfect for thrill-seekers and adventurous families, this trip is guided by our experienced staff who ensure both safety and maximum excitement. Guests must be at least 8 years old, and no prior rafting experience is required—just bring your sense of adventure!

If you prefer a more relaxed experience, our Lower Scenic Float is perfect for you. This stretch of river features calm waters and gentle currents, making it ideal for families with young children (ages 3 and up), multi-generational groups, or anyone wanting to enjoy the peaceful side of the Smokies. Along the way, take in lush forests, mountain views, and enjoy plenty of time for swimming and splashing in the river's quieter sections.

For those who want the ultimate river experience, our Full Day River Adventure combines the best of both worlds—tackling the thrilling rapids of the Upper Pigeon and then unwinding on the scenic Lower Float. Between trips, take a well-deserved break and refuel with delicious options from Wes and Wyz Shaved Ice or Twisted Sisters food trucks, both on site for Memorial Day weekend. Enjoy fresh treats, hearty meals, and cool snacks right by the river before heading back out for more fun!

Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to make lasting memories with friends and family this Memorial Day weekend. With trips running Saturday, May 23rd and Sunday, May 24th, 2026, plus food trucks and adventure for all ages, it’s the perfect kickoff to summer. Book your spot today—spaces are limited and sell out quickly!

We look forward to seeing you on the river for an epic Memorial Day weekend—adventure, great food, and unforgettable memories await!
