Big Creek Expeditions faced an unexpected closure last week for our Upper Pigeon rafting trips due to serious flooding and a rockslide that temporarily closed I-40. The rockslide blocked access to the interstate and put in , making it impossible for us to reach the upper section .
However, the dedicated teams worked tirelessly to address the aftermath of the natural events. Crews have successfully cleared the debris and repaired the damaged roads, ensuring that both safety and accessibility have been restored. As a result, we are thrilled to announce that beginning tomorrow, Saturday the 28th, Big Creek Expeditions will be open for both Upper and Lower Pigeon rafting trips!
